Earlier today we released some awesome updates to payments and payment plans!
We’ve had multiple requests from camps asking for the ability to charge a credit card that a family has on file, and we are excited to let you know that this is now possible. When a parent enters in their credit card or electronic checking information, they can now authorize the camp to charge balances to any payment methods they have on file.
For previously saved payment methods, the family may grant permission by going to the Billing section on the User Settings page.
Payment plans also got an overhaul! Previously, a payment plan could only be created in the Patient Portal, but now camps can setup payment plans through the Provider Portal too. You will see a new SETUP PAYMENT PLAN button on the Account tab. Camps will also be able to DEACTIVATE payment plans and override any due date restrictions from here as well. Payment plans can only be created using payment plans that the family authorized the camp to charge (see screenshots above).
